For me, a student who already maintains an A/B grade in school or college can study with any teacher or even use resources like YouTube to eventually achieve their desired grade. Therefore, when I teach such students, I do not take pride in it and refrain from sharing those results on my social media platforms. However, approximately 20% of my students fall into this category in every session.
Next are the students whom I focus on intensely—those who have received U, E, or D grades in O Level GCSE Chemistry, O Level IGCSE Chemistry, AS Chemistry, or A2 Chemistry, whether in school, college, or in previous tutoring experiences. I particularly appreciate these students. However, I have certain criteria for them:
They must work extremely hard alongside me.
They must consider me as their sole mentor, disregarding other influences. Having multiple advisors leads to confusion.
They should accept my criticism positively without emotional reactions.
Any misbehavior will result in immediate dismissal, even in the middle of a session.
If a student meets these four prerequisites, they become my top priority. Financial concerns do not affect my commitment to these students; they are paramount to me.
I actively promote the achievements of these students on various platforms because showcasing their progress does not offend poor-performing students. Instead, it motivates them to aspire to similar success.
Additionally, given my online teaching approach, preparation occurs at a rapid pace. It typically takes around 196 hours to elevate a U grade to a C/B/A or a B/C to an A/A*.
By the grace of Allah, I have been blessed to witness the transformation of thousands of students under my mentorship. Alhamdulillah, I continually improve as a teacher and life mentor with each session.
Elevating from a U to an A* is a significant achievement. My responsibility lies in honest teaching, while the students’ responsibility is to follow my guidance and commit to extreme hard work.
Ultimately, it’s essential to always trust Allah’s plan, as His decisions are always in our favor. Never tie your emotions solely to any grade. If circumstances differ from what you expected despite following all protocols, you will collapse.
Maintain gratitude towards Allah and focus on your effort—the hard work—the process. Not the end result!
Cheers,
